Benny Gold x New Era 2009 Fitted Hat Preview

The Benny Gold Doughboy New Era Fitted Hat recently just hit retailers but already Benny is giving us a little preview of what hes working on for 2009. Along with many of the products Benny Gold will be releasing in the new year, which includes a collaboration on a mountain bike, is a new Paper Plane Flight 59Fifty Fitted Hat. As you can see by the preview on the far left the new Benny Gold fitted hat will be black and include the popular signature paper plane flight design in red.
No word on an official release date yet for this new Benny Gold New Era fitted hat so stay tuned for further updates.
New Era Original Wooden Fitted Hat Sizing Blocks

Now this is something i find pretty interesting, specially since it dates back to the early days of New Era. Shown above are original New Era wooden sizing blocks. These are what New Era use to use to size up the fitted caps before the blocking machine was created. The wooden blocks themselves date back to the early 1920s. I would love to have a few of these sitting around as just something to place my cap on when i walk in the door or as pieces to display certain caps.

Swaggers New Year’s 2009 Fitted Hats

Shortly after the start of the 2009 New Year Swagger will release a couple of products with a New Years theme, including these two fitted hats. The fitted caps have a Swagger dollar sign embroidered on the front of the crown with a multi-color confetti design covering the entire cap. You will have your choice of either white or black and both will have t-shirts and hoodies to match.
The Swagger New Years fitted hats and products will be released at Swagger flagship stores, retailers and their online store on January 2nd, 2009.
7Union x DTA ‘USDTA’ Fitted Hat

7Union and Rogue Status associated brand DTA are at it again with another fitted hat collaboration. This time DTA and 7Union produced the ‘USDTA’ fitted hat which carries sort of a cartoonish vibe. On the front of the fitted cap there is embroidery of a pig inspired by Piggly Wiggly who is wearing a DTA cap and appears to have taken a beating due to the black eye hes sporting. On both sides and the rear of the cap there is also emboridered branding with a ‘USDTA Select’ logo on the right side, 7Union script on the left, 7Union flag design on the rear. On the underbrim theres the DTA slogan “Dont Trust Anyone”.

Odyssey BMX x Estate LA ‘Driver’ Fitted Hats

Odyssey BMX, one of the leaders in the industry when it comes to BMX parts reached out to handmade fitted hat designers Estate LA to produce a brand new fitted cap for their company. The Odyssey BMX fitted hats known as ‘Driver’ include a 2-tone design with orange on the 2 front panels of the cap with blue on the rear panels of the crown and on the brim. Embroidered onto the front is the Odyssey BMW logo in white and blue. The caps make up for an overall clean look for a company which has been making some of the best BMX parts since 1985.

Rock Paper Scissors x New Era ‘Varsity’ 59Fifty

On December 26th, the day after Christmas, retail shop Rock Paper Scissors out of Seattle, Washington released their latest 59Fifty Fitted Hats. Using a Varsity inspired design Rock Paper Scissors put together 4 different 2-tone color schemes which have a RPS varsity logo embroidered on the front of the crown. On the back of the fitted New Era hats it says ‘rps life’ in script. From left to right you have colorways inspired by the Lakers, NY Knicks, Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics.
