New Era x Hanna Barbera ‘Wacky Races’ 59Fifty Collection

New Era and Hanna Barbara collaborate on a series of 59Fifty Fitted Hats which pay homage to a classic animated cartoon from back in the day. Im sure some of you may remember the Wacky Races which Hanna Barbara introduced featuring wacky characters in outrageous cars racing to the finish. Some of the characters included the Slag Brothers (two cavemen) and Dick Dastardly and his dog Muttley. New Era and Hanna Barbara designed a hat for just about every character in the Wacky Races series to make up a total of 10 59Fifty Fitted Hats in the collection.

DGK x New Era ‘Eyes’ 59Fifty

This fitted hat from DGK (Dirty Ghetto Kids) and New Era is not a new release, but it is however one of my all time favorite fitted hats. Dubbed ‘Eyes’ the 59Fifty fitted hat by DGK has a design of a pair of bloodshot eyes on the front of the crown with a pair of teeth on the top of the brim. White the brim may have a set of pearly white the underbrim has a set of gold teeth. I own a few of these hats and have had a ton of fun with them in restaurants. When i get a booth seat that has a half wall of the side of me with people on the other side of the wall i slowly peak the eyes up above the wall giving customers on the other side a laugh every time. Besides the black colorway shown above DGK and New Era also did up a white colorway as well.

Designed with 2 white front panels, navy side and back panels with red piping, the NY Yankees ’52 World Series fitted has embroidery of a red, white and blue top hat on the front with Yankees embroidered across the top of the design.
